Welcome to the online home of Vocalis Choir

Vocalis (named after the largest portion of the vocal fold) is a new choir formed in September 2026 in Cwmbran, South Wales. The choir aims to perform a diverse repertoire which will perform music from the classical, music theatre, pop and jazz repertoire. We will present a varied programme of performances in our 2026-27 season which will include concerts for Armistice, Christmas, a Musical Theatre showcase, Disney Spotlight concert, summer concert and a tour.

Many of the members of the choir are trained singers to post-grade 8 standard. Some are experienced choral singers or musicians who just want to embark on a new musical adventure performing to a high standard. Sessions will focus on vocal technique using Estill Voice Training and achieving musical excellence, craft, artistry and performance magic.

Vocalis aims to advance members of the choir by providing significant opportunities to perform as soloists or as part of ensembles at our performances.

It is an expectation that members of the choir have received vocal training and that a short vocal assessment may be a requirement of joining the group.
